Dear Mrs. Prichard,
In answer to yours of the 27th inst. Mr Deiner has asked me to write & let you know he has made what inquiries he could concerning Your Son, but could only get in touch with a Mr Griffiths who was interviewed at “Queenstown,” the time of the disaster, He has seen two or three other survivors, but none remember Mr Prichard. However Mr Deiner says that the survivors of the ship[‘]s crew, are now so scattered in various Ships. It is only at intervals he comes in contact with any. He will keep your address & will seek further information, of any member of the crew, he may meet. He has one Gentleman in mind, who was a 2nd class bedroom steward on the “Lusitania,” But he does not know his address, & at present, this same Gentleman he believes is at sea. Sooner or later he will sure to see him, & he will ask him if he remembers Mr Prichard. I can assure you Mr Deiner will do all he possibly can to help you, in your search for information.
Yours Very Truley [sic],
M. Deiner.
