Ellen Burdon, 24, was traveling with her infant son Robert aboard Lusitania. Ellen was a native of Newcastle, England, but was living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Ellen and Robert were rescued, presumably in lifeboat 15. She told Margaret Cox that while they were waiting for rescue, she saw the German submarine that sank their ship surface and hoist her colors.
Lifeboat 15 was picked up by the Wanderer (Peel 12).
