David Walker (1882 – 1915), 32, was secretary to Dr. Fred Stark Pearson at the Pearson Engineering Company. He was traveling on board Lusitania with Dr. Pearson and Pearson’s wife, Mabel for business, and because the Pearsons were visiting their daughter, Natalie Nicholson, who was married to a British citizen. Walker’s ticket for Lusitania was number 46095, and his cabin was D-46. Walker and the Pearsons were lost in the Lusitania sinking.
David Walker was born at Nook Farm, Balmaghie, Scotland, in 1882. He was the son of William David Walker and Mary Walker (née McGaw). At some point he immigrated to the United States and became a naturalized American citizen, living and working in New York City. Even though Walker’s body was not recovered, a memorial to him stands in Balmaghie Parish Churchyard in Scotland.
