My grandfather’s brother (Henry McConkey) was First Officer on the Lusitania from Jan 1 till Dec 31 1912. He served under Captain J T W Charles. I am interested in finding out more about Henry’s career with Cunard (he later served on Ascania, Pannonia, Caronia, Saxonia and ended up Marine Superintendent in New York). I have his service record from the University of Liverpool but wondered if there are other records that people know about such as crew lists and voyages. By the way another interesting note is that Henry’s wife Eleanor was booked on Lusitania’s last voyage but Henry cabled her from England telling her to cancel because of U-boat danger!
