On this day 115 years ago, 7 June 1907, the RMS Lusitania left her slip at John Brown and Co., Clydebank, Scotland, to be outfitted to become the revolutionary, luxurious, historical, and tragic ship that she turned out to be. Christened by Mary, Lady Inverclyde, Lusitania launched at 12:30 p.m. that day, with 600 invited guests and thousands of spectators that day.
