Guy Cockburn, 31, was a British national and second cabin passenger from Pasadena, California, United States. His family was known for making golf clubs. He survived the Lusitania disaster.
Cockburn’s assigned cabin was on C deck, under the care of May Bird. After the ship sank, Cockburn pulled Maude Thompson out of the water and onto a small raft that was already holding 50 other people. They drifted for more than three hours before they were rescued by the Westborough, which was disguised as a Greek ship named Katrina.
