Annie Richardson, 39, a British national, was one of the pregnant mothers aboard the Lusitania‘s last voyage. Her cabin was E-114 and she shared a room with someone whom she described as being “Scotch” (Chrissie Aitken?).
The torpedo struck the Lusitania as Annie was packing her belongings. She ran up the stairs and saw people exiting the dining room and begin her ascent to A Deck. She went to the port side, but the boats swung inwards. She then followed the order that she should go to the starboard side. She slipped on the deck, but was not hurt. A man helped her up and over to lifeboat #13, in which she escaped.
In Queenstown, she met up with her roommate.
