George Maurice (1872 – 1915), 43, was a French-born British citizen lost in the sinking of the Lusitania. Aboard Lusitania, his ticket was 46105 and his cabin was D-51.
Life
George Maurice was born in Paris, France on 22 January 1872. He was educated at King’s School in Chester, England. On 20 September 1911, he married Louise Audrey Bathurst in Claygate, Surrey. He died when the Lusitania was torpedoed and sunk on 7 May 1915.
His wife Audrey remarried to Alfred Mackilligan. Mackilligan was lost at sea in February 1941.
