Charles Arthur Roberts, 24, was a British subject and an able-bodied seaman employed in the deck department of the Lusitania on the ship’s last voyage. Roberts survived the sinking.
Charles Arthur Roberts was born in London, England, on 19 September 1890. He was a professional seaman in the British Mercantile Marine and served on board the Lusitania as an able seaman in the Deck Department on her final voyage which departed from Pier 54, New York City on 1 May 1915.
When the Lusitania was torpedoed off the Old Head of Kinsale, Southern Ireland, on the afternoon of 7 May 1915, by the German submarine, U-20, he survived the sinking.
Nothing further is known about him.
